Kirby and the other pallas quietly sat in the cell for hours. They only got up when they saw food arrive in a large bowl. It was a yellow-ish color and very runny. Kirby pushed them away from the food. "What are you doing?" Winby made another attempt for the food. "They're just fattening us up for dinner with this garbage." He replied. "Are you sure? Why would they eat us?" Garby asked. "Because they're heartless carnivores! That stupid king is probably seeing if we can be served with an apple in our mouths. He's probably testing it out on Kiibii right now-" "Who cares about her?" Winby retorted. "I do." Kirby replied, shocked to hear him say this out of no where. "Do you? Rorby, take the others to the other side of the room. I need to speak to Kirby alone." They began walking away when Kirby said, "Why not speak to me now in front of them?" Winby shook his head. "Because it doesn't concern them. They already know of this horrible story. Listen, do you know why I wear this jacket on my back?" Kirby shook his head.
"The reason why I wear this is because about two years ago, your friend Kiibii served under an awful demon named Ing. He was powerful and controled many outer rim planets. Our planet was next. He sent Kiibii out to destroy us. She wielded two curved swords. I didn't know how to wield a sword, but when she ran by me (she thought I wasn't a threat), I grabbed one of her swords. She stopped and ran after me with her other sword. I defended attack after attack, but the sword was knocked out of my hands. She jumped to grab the sword and I ran away. Kiibii ran after me and cut and 'X' into my back. I fell in pain so she left me, thinking I would die. Since she figured out I was the strongest, the rest would die in the hands of the toads. Garby saw me fall and ran up to Kiibii. He kicked her in her head and grabbed one of her swords. Since he was too weak to kill someone, he just hit her over the head with the hilt of the weapon. She fell unconscience. My friends cared for me and donated any blood. I soon got better, but I keep this jacket on as a reminder to never trust Kiibii."
Kirby looked to the ground. "I don't believe you." Winby turned around and took off his jacket. There, covering his whole back, were two cuts in the shape of an "X". "Now do you believe me? Now do you know the truth of your little girlfriend?" Kirby sat with his back against the wall. He felt quiet and alone when he heard this truth. "I'm sorry you had to hear that, but it was for your own good." Winby walked away, leaving him alone. As soon as the white palla left, tears fell down his cheeks. He had all of this hatred and felt all of this betrayal and he had nothing to do with it. Hope didn't exist anymore. Strength didn't exist anymore. Love didn't exist anymore. Nothing existed except pain and darkness. Ruuby looked at Kirby, worried. She walked up to him. "Are...are you okay? Do you want to talk?" He sniffed and shook his head, "No, I'm fine. Just a little upset." She saw beside him and said, "Look, don't lie to me. Friends don't lie to each other."
"Kiibii did. I didn't know she was like that." Kirby said. "Was like that. Once she was hit over the head she changed. I saw that myself. At first, we all hated her. Even I did, but we soon became friends. That cut was forgotten soon after. Winby was the only one who still knew it was there. Kiibii's a good palla. Don't let that story blind you from that. Don't be like the others. Be yourself. Be Kirby." She walked away as Kirby wiped away his tears. He knew crying wasn't going to help get out of this place. "There has to be a way out. There has to be a way to save Kiibii." He said. "There is." A fimiliar voice was heard above. He looked up and saw Meta Knight on the rafters above. "Meta Knight!" Everyone ran up to him as he leaped down, excited to see someone they least expected. "How'd you get in here?" Rorby asked. "Easy. I followed you all when you were captured and explored the entire castle." He replied. "But why didn't you help us out?" Rorby asked.
"Because I knew you would be led to the castle. I just radioed the other warriors and they're on their way. I told them how to get you guys out. I'll be staying here until they come." He leaped back up into the rafters. "Whatever you do, don't look up here. I was never here." They nodded and waited for any signs of the warriors. Two days passed, when the door opened. A yellow palla was thrown across the dungeon floor. "Kiibii!" Kirby ran to help her up. "Kirby! Oh, I'm so glad to see your face. Yaron tortured me until I gave him some information. I didn't mean to, but it just happened." Kirby looked to the ground. "What did you tell him?" "I told him that we have warriors in the woods and that we have a red diamond. I really didn't mean to tell him...Kirby? Why are you looking like that? What's wrong?" He looked up. "Follow me. I need to talk to you." They walked over to the other side of the room and he began talking to her. Several minutes passed as Meta Knight listened from above.
Kirby stopped talking and saw that Kiibii had tears in her eyes. "I didn't know. I'm sorry." Kirby, hesitantly, hugged her. "Don't cry. Ruuby convinced that there's good in you. Don't worry." A few seconds passed when Kiibii said, "Kirby? You can stop hugging me now." Kirby began chuckling. "Not until you give me some food." She pushed him away, smiling. "I don't have any food." "Then what good are you?" He shouted, winking. "Oh, pfft. Be glad I don't smack you." They soon fell quiet again and a few hours passed when they heard swords ringing and men shouting. "The soldiers! Guys get up!" Kirby shouted. The door was knocked down and soldiers stormed in. "Kirby! How are you-" "Hungry. Gimme some food." He, instead, was given a sword. "Then go kick some toad butt." The others were given swords and they all ran out, including Meta Knight. They saw many bodies of toads, but there was not a single body of a soldier. "Dang, these guys are good!" Winby said. "Excuse me?" One of the soldiers said. "I'm a girl and I killed most of these toads!"
