Several days later, Meta Knight and the rest of the pallas are near the peak. They all felt this sense of holiness and odd fear. Winby grumbled after the news of Kirby and Kiibii, "Why do they get to go back into the ship and we don't? It's freezing out here!" Meta Knight turned around and shouted above the blizzard, "Didn't you hear? Kirby fell sick! You need to save your breath now!" The rest of the pallas didn't respond to Winby's next inappropriate comment. They climbed for an hour when they finally reached the peak. They all saw a red and warming glow coming from the top and Meta Knight used the sword to chop the top off. There, inside the mountain, sat the legendary diamond. It floated in mid-air and hummed a mellow sound that sounded like a thousand angels. Meta Knight reached for the diamond when it shocked him. He reached again, but it shocked him again. Winby scoffs and reaches for the diamond, but felt a sharp pain surge through his body. "AAH! Stupid diamond!" He began throwing snow at it. Ruuby kicked him to the ground. "Calm down already!"
Winby got up and shivered from the terrible cold. "I want to see you get face-planted in this snow." Meta Knight pressed a button on a small device. "Let's all just calm down. I just asked for ropes to take us up. I think only Kirby can grab this diamond." Rorby piped up, "Why him?" "Well, the more likely wielders have tried to grab it, so Kirby might be able to." Meta Knight responded. "But Kirby's sick!" Ruuby said. "Kirby's a warrior! He can do it!" Garby cheered. Meta Knight shook his head. "I appreciate the encouraging words, Garby, but Kirby is sick and may not be able to get out of bed. Our enemy is on the move after us and may keep us from getting the diamond. I don't know if we'll be able to even get it now." They all fell silent in defeat. Ropes soon fell down from the above ship and they grabbed on. It felt good being in the warm hanger. Kiibii was there and was waiting for them. "Come on! Follow me!" They followed her into a room full of beds. In one of them, lied Kirby.
They went up to him and asked if he was alright, except Winby. He was still mad. Meta Knight told him of the news, "We couldn't grab the diamond. It kept on shocking us for some odd reason. I think only can get it, but you're sick and the demon-" "Ing." "Ing, is on the move with his forces." Kirby began taping his hands on the bedsheet while he thought. "I'll go." Kiibii's eyes widened with this. "No you can't go! You're sick!" They all agreed, but Kirby was too stubborn. "I'm going! Ing's forces are on the move and I'm the only one who can get that diamond. If anyone of you don't want me to go, try and stop me." He hopped out of bed, stood for a second, and began walking towards the door. Kiibii ran beside him and followed him to the hanger. Kirby was surprised by this, but said nothing. They both grabbed survival backpacks from a closet. They both grabbed a rope. "Lower us." A mechanic shook his head. "We can't! It's too windy!" Kiibii shouted, obviously testy, "Lower us now!"
The mechanic didn't feel like arguing with a friend of the captain, so he opened the hanger door and moved them over the dangerous fall. He pulled a lever downwards and they began to descend into the blizzard. It wasn't long until they hit the snow. Kirby and Kiibii began walking up the mountain, stopping every now and then to let Kirby rest. After two hours of climbing they finally saw the diamond. It was beautiful, yet they felt scared just by looking at it. Kirby cautiously walked up to it. He hestitated for a moment, then grabbed it. All pain, all feelings, all sound, everything had stopped. He felt something climbing up his throat and he started to cough, collapsing in the snow. A black mist was exhaled from him and he felt sick no longer. Somehow, the diamond removed the disease. Everything resumed. Kiibii rushed to him and helped him up. "Kirby! What's the matter? Are you okay? What happened?" He got up and stared at the diamond in wonder. "It cured me." She nudged him. "Say again?" He put the diamond to his side and said, "It cured me from my disease."
They suddenly felt the cold again. They decided to call the ship. After contacting the operators, ropes were thrown down and the grabbed on, lifted up afterwards. Meta Knight and the rest of them were there ready to meet them. They all rejoiced to see the diamond in the hands of Kirby. Addel immediately went up to Kirby and checked his forehead, fussing, "Kirby! What in God's name were you thinking? You could've died!" "Addel." "I don't know why I even keep this job." "Addel." "You're going back to that infirmary now." "Addel! I'm cured!" Kirby shouted. She snorted, "I doubt it." She began to pull him towards the infirmary when Kiibii ran in front of her. "Just check him to see." She sighed, "Fine. It would be a good idea to make sure no other diseases got into you." They walked to the same room where Kirby was checked for CID before. Kirby sat on the examining table and waited for Addel. She checked his mouth and forehead and got a blood sample. She found no disease.
"Well, I don't know what happened, but it seems as if you're cured." Kirby held up the diamond. "With the help of this." Her eyes shown when she saw it. "Where did you get that?" "From the mountain peak." He set it down beside him as Addel began to speak, "Now, normally I wouldn't do this, but I'll need to rub your cheeks." "My what?!" Kirby looked shocked. "Other cheeks." Addel rubbed her eyes with frustration. Kirby felt pretty stupid. "Oh. Heh. Um...what for?" She began rubbing the hot-pink markings below his eyes. "To see if you-know-what is working." After a few minutes, she stopped rubbing and his cheeks were red. "Yep. It's working." "So, just by rubbing these, I'll begin that?" Kiibii asked. "Right. It helps save...things." They both oh-ed and felt uncomfortable all of a sudden. They didn't like talking about this. "Is that it, doctor?" She nodded. "Yes, sir. That's it. Now don't make that face. It's only natural for it to happen." He sighed. "Yeah, I know. It still feels odd, but I guess I'll just have to deal with it."
